PartnershipOne Ltd is a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) owned by Canterbury City Council, Dover District Council and Thanet District Council. We deliver key transactional services for our partners, ensuring we keep the customer at the centre of everything we do.
Our core services are specialised – The administration and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates and Corporate Debts, The administration and payment of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support, as well as wider telephony, online and face to face customer query resolution for most council services.
Our team make us who we are: honest, positive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic sector experts, committed to doing the right thing and putting our customers first.
We ensure that we drive positive social value by maximising the incomes of our most vulnerable citizens as well as ensuring that the local taxes required to deliver effective local services are collected in a timely, but ethically and supportive manner. We also actively promote and support charitable activities by members of our team
Our team has a 15-year history of delivering award winning specialist public services to a shared network of varied stakeholders. It has a significant advantage in retaining the core ethos of public service, underpinned by extensive commercial practice, awareness, ambition for growth, excellent customer feedback and a desire to share best practice.
Our Journey
In recent years an opportunity arose to create a wholly local authority owned company from which to run the highly performing and successful Revenues, Benefits and Customer Services functions, on behalf of the three East Kent authorities.
Delivery of these services had been shared for the previous 12 years. The most recent 7-year period was via successful commercial outsourcing.
The opportunity to build on that commercial success afforded the authorities the ability to share the financial benefits of a commercial trading environment as well as drive further commercial growth, reinvesting the financial dividends into local service priorities and reduce the financial burden on those local authorities.
We are uniquely positioned to capitalise on our extensive knowledge of effective, efficient and well-respected partnership working, within both in-house and outsourced environments.
